Who Are We?
New Bedford ACTS is comprised of a diverse group of concerned citizens who are interested in stemming violence in New Bedford. All members are volunteers and participate in the Working Group. The Facilitating Committee makes recommendations to the full Working Group on the direction of the group.
Our Communities Dialogues sessions have resulted in a wide range of solutions to the problem of violence in New Bedford. The solutions have been divided into 5 separate categories: Parenting, Mentoring and Youth; Schools; Public Safety; Neighborhoods and Communications. Each group is working on their top priority solutions and welcomes assistance from the community. To sign up for a committee please send an e-mail to bdebarro@cfsema.org .
